We're very exicited to post the blog entires pertaining to such areas as healthy eating, the most effective workouts, stress reduction, getting organized, and a variety of other health related interests.

Below is a list and short bio of our current contributors to the Expert's Corner section of Oregon Healthy Life. Please feel free to comment and ask questions of our panelist if it suits you. They are open and happy to respond to your inquiries as time permits.
Sherri Sacconaghi
Holistic Health Coach and Fitness Trainer
Sherri received her training to practice Health Coaching at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. She received her personal fitness training certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She holds a Bachelors degree from The University of Oregon and has over 15 years experience helping people change their lives.
Dr. Michael Raeburn
Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician
Dr. Raeburn is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and is currently practicing at Overlook Chiropractic located in North Portland. Originally from the Bend, Oregon area, Dr. Raeburn recieved his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in 2006. He is also full body certified in Active Release Techniques®, ART.
Joseph Kincaid, Jr.
ACE, AFAA, and NASM certified
Professional personal trainer for 9 years. Experience in weight management, sports performance, and endurance. Worked for several years for 24-Hour Fitnessas as a personal trainer and spin class instructor, now a freelance fitness coach and nutritional counselor at Snap Fitness Milwaukie.
Due to the alarming epidemic of Type-2 diabetes, for the last few years I have concentrated much of my attention on keeping my clients off of medication for diabetes through a program of proper nutrition and exercise.
Chris Bathke - Elemental Fitness Lab
Fitness Coach, Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach
Chris is a fitness coach specializing in body composition and performance improvement. He holds a Masters of Arts degree and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition he holds coaching certifications from the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation and World Kettlebell Club.
A firm believer in the value of continuing education and experience Chris’s approach to is to integrate research with practical knowledge gained from years of working with athletes and the general public. As a former Master Instructor for Equinox Fitness Chris developed and implemented trainer education programs, and continues to be involved in teaching workshops for trainers and the general public.
Elemental Fitness Lab is a culmination of learning how the best fitness coaches produce consistent results for their clients, and merging that with his background in various arts and sports. He has studied studied martial arts in Japan and the U.S. for more than 15 years, competes in cyclocross and kettlebell sport, and is an avid surfer, snowboarder, and cycling enthusiast. Chris also enjoys writing, and has written articles for Men’s Health Magazine, Shape Magazine, Men’s Health UK online, TMuscle.com, and JPfitness.com.
